Each one of us pursues own unique spiritual learning process, an inner journey. This painting depicts with symbols and archetypes in one version of this inner Quest, or Hero's Journey. The Hero here has his awareness focused inwardly, holding a tether that passes by many strange emotions, thoughts, memories, hopes, dreams and fears, to finally attach to a door. The door features the Ouroboros, a snake eating its own tail, representing the Eternal Student, and represents the inner gateway to wisdom and deeper spiritual understandings.
